Hi Reader!
My son's recent soccer tournament was one of those reminders that progress rarely comes from one big moment—it comes from showing up again and again. We spent hours on cold, windy soccer fields (40s and brutal wind), watching his team grind through a tough tournament against teams from all over Texas. They won gold, went undefeated, and my son scored the first goal of the tournament for his team—plus an assist in that same match.
Watching him play with confidence, patience, and persistence was a good nudge for me, too: momentum is built through reps, not hype.
That theme shows up everywhere in business—and especially in podcasting.
🤝 Private Networking | Feb 10
I’m curating a private, online networking event for financial professionals and business owners who already have consistent podcasts and are ready to create more traction together.
This isn’t a pitch-fest or a random breakout room shuffle. It’s an intentional get-together where:
- Real advice gets shared
- Guest swap opportunities emerge naturally
- Promotion and collaboration ideas surface
- Partnerships form that actually move the needle
I’ll be playing host and matchmaker—helping connect people with aligned goals, audiences, and expertise.
📅 When: February 10
🔒 Access: Invite-only, but you may request access
👉 If this sounds like your kind of room, just hit reply and tell me you’d like to be considered.
🎙 New PFP Episode: Small Actions. Real Growth.
“How Small Daily Actions Drive Business Growth for Financial Professionals” went live early this morning.
If creating content—or managing your podcast—has started to feel overwhelming, this episode will feel like a deep exhale.
A great reminder that you don’t need more content—you need clearer intent behind what you’re already creating.

I’m joined by Dr. Christiane Schroeter, creator of the Petite Practice Framework, to talk about how small, strategic actions lead to sustainable growth—without burnout, hustle culture, or perfectionism.
In this conversation, you’ll hear how she uses her podcast to:
- Build authority without overproducing
- Turn listener questions into high-impact content
- Create a simple funnel that actually supports her business
📣 Where to Advertise Your Podcast (When You’re Ready)
If you’re at the stage where you’re ready to invest a bit to get your podcast discovered, here’s my honest take:
Advertising only works after you’ve done the backend work:
- A clear CTA
- A free resource or next step for listeners
- A way to capture emails and nurture relationships
Without that? You’re just paying for vanity metrics.
And while Google and social ads can work, most people scrolling or searching aren’t in the mindset to click into a 30–60 minute podcast episode.
That’s why, if I were spending my first ad dollars, I’d start inside podcast ecosystems—where listeners already love podcasts.
Here’s where I’d begin:
-
Submit your show to PodNews via NewPodcasts.net
- Free exposure
- Your show must have a Trailer episode
- You’ll be featured in PodNews and on the New Podcasts podcast
- Other platforms like Castbox and Apple allow you to "apply to be featured" for free too!
-
AudienceLift campaigns
- Starting around $500 (for audio, higher for video)
- Promotion across high-intent platforms like NYT, ESPN, WSJ, Fox Sports
-
Inside Podcast app advertising (often under $500):
IF you're ready to explore in-app podcast advertising, I suggest giving the ad and your dollars a set runway of time (maybe 3-4 months) to work and gain traction before determining whether this worked for you or not. One month of spend typically won't provide the results you want when it comes to marketing/advertising. Also, pick one platform to test and perfect before spending on others.
Apple and Spotify ads can be powerful—but they start in the thousands, so I’d want proof of concept first.
This path is best for podcasters who are already sharing, repurposing, and intentionally guiding listeners somewhere impact can be measured by the business (email list growth, course enrollment, etc.).
Watching Theodore’s team succeed this weekend didn’t come from one flashy play—it came from consistency, trust, and doing the fundamentals well under pressure. Podcasting works the same way.
If you’re creating with intention, surrounding yourself with the right people, and taking smart next steps (not all the steps), momentum builds—even when it’s cold, windy, and uncomfortable.
If you want support deciding what to do next, I’m here.
