Hi Reader!
Spring Break wrapped up over here, and I’m still adjusting back to a “normal” schedule… if that even exists.
Between last week and the kids being home again on Monday, I found myself thinking—I don’t remember being out of school this much growing up… do you?
That said, it was a full and really good week.
The kids stayed busy helping neighbors by caring for pets and homes while families were out of town, spent time with grandparents, explored a local nature preserve, bounced around a trampoline park, and even squeezed in some shopping for new swimsuits (optimistically… because Texas weather had other plans 😄).
Meanwhile, our seedlings are thriving. Tiny leaves are popping up on beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, herbs, and even carrots. Now we wait for them to grow strong enough to transplant—which, as always, feels like both the slowest and most important part of the process.
And honestly, that theme—timing, readiness, and not rushing the next step—fits perfectly with what I’m sharing with you this week.
🎙 New Episode: Should You Even Start a Podcast?
This week’s episode of Podcasting for Financial Professionals tackles a question most people don’t slow down long enough to ask:
Should you even start a podcast?
Podcasting can absolutely help you increase your authority, get more visible, expand your reach, and generate leads for your business… but only when it’s aligned with your business, your capacity, and your goals.
Otherwise, it quietly becomes another obligation that drains time and energy.

Here's how to make that decision without pressure ⤵️
If you’ve been considering whether to host your own podcast, or questioning whether your current show is pulling its weight, this episode will help you think like a CEO—not just a creator.

A few key ideas:
Podcasting is not one decision—it’s seven. Format, messaging, audience, consistency, offers, systems, and sustainability all need to align. Skipping that thinking upfront is what creates friction later.
It can shorten your sales cycle—or create burnout. When your podcast is positioned well, listeners come in already trusting you. When it’s not, it becomes content you feel obligated to produce without clear return.
“Not yet” is a strategic decision. You don’t get extra credit for starting too early. Clarity beats urgency every time.
🎥 Missed the Webinar? You’ve Still Got Time
Yesterday, I hosted the webinar: How to Know if Your Podcast is Working
If you weren’t able to attend live, you can still register and watch the replay—but only for a few more days.
Inside the session, I broke down:
- What “working” actually looks like in podcasting for business
- How to create conversion from your episodes
- The backend systems required to capture and nurture leads
Because a podcast that simply educates—without guiding listeners toward a next step—is a dead end.
You have about 6 days left to access the replay, so if this is something you’ve been wondering about, now is a great time to sit down and watch it.
After you’ve gone through it, bring your specific questions to my next event: 📅 Live Q&A: April 21
I’ll be opening up the floor again for real-time questions, and I’ll share the registration link soon. In the meantime, you can always find upcoming events here: 👉 podcastabundance.com/speaking
📊 Q1 Is Ending… What’s Your Plan for Q2?
In just a few days, Q1 is over.
Which means I’m heading into strategy sessions with clients—reviewing what worked, what didn’t, and what we’re adjusting for Q2.
If you want to start thinking through your own strategy, here are a few questions to guide you:
- What events are you hosting in Q2? (Webinars, workshops, live Q&As, speaking opportunities)
- What podcast topics naturally lead into those events? Your content should guide listeners toward something—not exist in isolation.
- What is the ONE action you want listeners to take? Clarity here changes everything.
- How can you simplify that action? Fewer steps = more conversions.
This is the foundation of growing your business with podcasting in a way that actually works.
When your episodes, offers, and events are aligned, your podcast becomes more than content—it becomes a system that builds trust and moves people forward.
If you're feeling a little lost in your podcasting/business growth journey, book a 1:1 strategy session with me. Inside the Podcast Conversion Lab™ we work together to design your show's custom strategy and implement the changes needed, so your show really does WORK for your business.
Watching those seedlings grow has been a good reminder for me this week.
You can’t rush the process.
But you CAN create the right environment, provide intentional care, and be consistent. No matter what, growth happens on its own timeline.
The same is true for podcasting—and for business as a whole.
When the foundation is right, progress compounds. When it’s not, no amount of effort fixes the misalignment.
So whether you’re deciding to start a podcast, refining your current one, or mapping out your next quarter, give yourself the space to choose the right next step—not just the fastest one.
That’s where real momentum comes from.
